Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) is an ultra-light material, approximately 50-percent lighter than titanium, and it is regularly used in extreme racing and aerospace solutions, but Akrapovič has pushed the boundaries of exhaust system manufacturing once again and developed parts that are now available to all, and not just for specialized fields.
CMC can withstand intensely high peak temperatures of 1,000 °C, making it an ideal material for the hot gases emitted from high-performance engines. With the use of CMC, Akrapovič has applied the highest level of technology available to create parts that take an immense amount of time and effort to produce, are unique, and have a visually striking appearance with an assertive look that perfectly matches the material’s extreme racing heritage.
